So download the ubuntu 8.04 package. Then install it.

Realbasic is a programming language that you can produce Linux, Macintosh, and Windows Binaries. Ofcourse to get the Mac and Windows binaries you have to pay for a license. The Linux one is free. To download go to http://realsoftware.cachefly.net/REALbasic2008r2/REALbasicLinux.deb

When you have downloaded the debian file double click on the debian file and install it. That’s as easy as it gets.

How to install Tiny ERP

This is how to install Tiny ERP. As usual I take no responsibility for anything that may or may not happen.

  1. To download and install Tiny ERP go to Applications>Add/Remove.
  2. In the search box type in accounting.
  3. Go down to Tiny ERP and click the check box
  4. Click Apply
  5. A dialog comes up, Click apply again
  6. It will download and install
  7. Now that it is installed there will be a dialog box popping up asking you if you want to run this. Do what ever you want with this.

How to install Grisbi

  1. Open Terminal
  2. Type in sudo apt-get install grisbi
  3. Click enter
  4. Type in your root password
  5. Click enter
  6. Let the application download and install.
  7. to run grisbi type into terminal: grisbi

How to install KMyMoney

KMyMoney is an application dealing with personal finance, and it works just like MS-Money and Quicken.

  1. Open Terminal,
  2. Type in sudo apt-get install kmymoney2.
  3. Hit enter.
  4. Type in administrator password.
  5. Hit enter again.
  6. Let the application download and install
  7. To run KMyMoney from the terminal type in: kmymoney

This is how to install k3b a cd burning application which burns cdimages, erases cd-rws, Formats DVDs, copies CDs’ and DVDs’ and Rips all cds, and DVDs’:

Step 1: open terminal.
Step 2: Type in: sudo apt-get install k3b.
Step 3: when it asks you for your password, type it in.
Step 4: when it asks if you want to continue: type in y and hit your enter key
Step 5: wait for it to install.
