This is a pretty easy step by step walk through. As always I take no responsibility for damage.<\/p>\n

What you need:<\/p>\n

  1. A Supported Operating System: for example: Windows or Linux (if The macintosh is supported please leave a comment),<\/li>\n
  2. The Thunderbird Application: http:\/\/getthunderbird.com<\/li>\n
  3. Enough room on your hard drive.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The steps to an open source email client:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Have a supported operating system running on your computer.<\/li>\n
    2. Download the application from the site above.<\/li>\n
    3. run installer application.<\/li>\n
    4. after Thunderbird is installed, run the application.<\/li>\n
    5. Account Wizard will show up on top of the application.<\/li>\n
    6. Click on the radio button “Gmail”.<\/li>\n
    7. Click “next”.<\/li>\n
    8. The Account Wizard brings up the identity form.<\/li>\n
    9. Put in your credential: Your Name and your email address.<\/li>\n
    10. Click Next.<\/li>\n
    11. Click Finish.<\/li>\n
    12. Your Done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
