I have tried to figure out which version of the Linux Kernel I have on my laptop for a couple of weeks. Today I finally figured it out. There are only a few steps to this How-To.<\/p>\n

  1. Open Terminal: Applications->Accessories->Terminal, or, ALT F2->gnome-terminal<\/li>\n
  2. Type in this simple command: uname -a<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. And there is your kernel version.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This is a pretty useful command.<\/p>\n
