A Review of Dream Chess.

As a old chess player I have been around looking for chess games to play. I had not been able to play since I was 10 because no one will actually play with me since I beat my mom in 3 turns… I have always enjoyed a good game of chess so I have decided to try out this new 3d chess game. What you need are a video card that supports 3D acceleration and a computer that can run the game. Since I have not played chess in a while I chose the easy level to play against, to build up my skills that were lost.

The GUI looks very nice with its 3D acceleration making the game very easy to distinguish the different colors, pieces and the art work from behind the board at the far side of the board to which you play. I am really liking this game so far and it may show. Be sure to turn off Compiz-Fusion or you will have a lot of slow down in the game. There are a few different piece themes that you can use, which I will not list here as there is not going to be enough time to list them yet, though I will update this post later with them.

Overall I really do like this game and I would recommend it to anyone. I would give this game a 5/5 for looks and feel, easy of use, and for all the fun I have had with it.
